On Friday 27th July 2012 I had been with my boyfriend for three years, well - I haven't but we still class it as we have, it actually is horrible to think about and I know deep down we aren't right for pretending about it, but it has always been a significant date for us. It's pretty sad really, living like nothing went on, but I have been looking forward to being with him for ridiculously long so I didn't believe anything should stop us from enjoying the day together.
We decided to go to Leeds City Centre shopping and I already cocked up the day as I was meant to meet him at the train station for 8:30am however I woke up at 8:10am so, clearly, it wasn't happening. We then went and got the train for 10:00am but then, because we were lost in conversation and actually are completely slack together we got on the wrong train sending us to Huddersfield - we actually can't go anywhere together, we're actually really stupid! So after catching the Newcastle train we eventually ended up in Leeds around 11:00am!
For our anniversary presents I bought Spen a Grey LA Snapback because it's all he's banged on about for the past three months, so I bought one and I've had it tucked away hiding in my wardrobe for the past two months! I kept nearly giving it to him earlier but backed out and I'm glad I did, he was so happy with it which I was glad about! He can't wait to wear it for our two week holiday to Egypt in six days! Oh my goodness I can't wait! And here is what he bought me, Rihanna Reb'l Fleur with a free watch, which is perfect because I nearly bought one very similar to this from River Island in a nude colour, I haven't had it off since Friday!
I stumbled upon these absolutely beautiful heels in Miss Selfridge at an amazing bargain! They were in the sale, and all I ever buy is black wedges or shoes because they quite frankly go with any outfit you wear, but I've been wanting some coloured heels for ages now! I don't know the size of these shoes but I guess a six as they fit well, and they were supposed to be £65 but they were reduced to £25, and after using my student discount, they came to only £22.50! I couldn't believe it!
I have wanted this for a while after seeing reviews on many blogs and at just £4 for MUA Heaven & Earth Palette, it's a right bargain! I use most of the colours and they create a great smokey eye, it stays on all day without wearing away. I love it and I shall definitely purchase it again!
I took a trip into Internacionale whilst there and saw this three pack of really cute metallic cross earrings in gold, grey and black. They were only £2.99 so I had to buy them, although Spen is already trying to claim and steal my black ones!
£6 each / 2 for £10
I felt rather silly for buying two grey tops at the same time haha! But I had a £10 gift voucher I wanted to spend up and I needed a new basic vest and liked the grey, and then I wanted a crop tee like this, I almost bought the bright pink but I wouldn't ever really get chance to wear it with much.
I was ridiculously excited to purchase some disco pants, I really really love them, I wanted the ones with a button and zip as I think they look nicer! So I went into American Apparel and tried on the turquoise ones which is what I originally wanted, and I actually almost bought them however and £70 (and I'm not that good of a spender) I just couldn't do it. I thought I should have a look around first, after visiting Bank I came across literally an identical pair to the American Apparel ones at only £30, they are the Glamourous label like the studded shorts I bought a few week ago. They even have the pockets at the back! In these they had black and gold, I didn't really want the black too much because I know a lot of people have them, but all the gold ones were in too small a size, I had to get 12's in these!!!!! I was heartbroken that I know own a size 12! But they are tight so I have an excuse! So i ended up buying the black ones, they do go with everything though so I guess I'll have a lot of wear out of them. Also as a bonus, I didn't spend a penny on them and the generous boyfriend that I have splashed out on them for me, sweet!
It was a really lovely day out all in all, we both enjoyed it, we went for an evening meal to Nando's too and I covered our chicken in Hot Piri Piri Sauce and Spen nearly died, I enjoyed it though! Was really funny, we went to get our train home and he bought two hot chocolates for us at the station, I chose Chocolate Orange flavour and he had Luxury topped with marshmellows, they were great! To top off our day, on the train journey home we got three seats to ourselves and sprawled across them and the sun was setting and all the sky was deep pink and amber, it was really lovely!
Love Abbie
